How To Make Puppy Chow

It is fun to make and can be annoying sometimes to make puppy chow yourself but you should know how to make puppy chow. It kills the afternoon cravings or late evening. You can give this item to your kid in their lunchbox. Let's see how to make puppy chow.

Things you will need

  • A large bowl (like an empty a bucket of ice cream)
  • A microwave able bowl
  • A microwave
  • 1 cup measuring cup
  • 1/2 cup measuring cup
  • 1/4 cup measuring cup
  • A teaspoon measuring spoon
  • A tool to move along
  • If you wish, you may need a wax paper to lay on cool puppy chow.

Ingredients

  • A box of Chex (any variety, but I prefer corn)
  • One package (6 ounces) semi-sweet Nestle Toll (1 cup)
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • Margarine 1/4 cup butter or
  • 1/2 tsp tea vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Method

  1. Take 9 cups of Chex cereal in the bucket and put it aside.

  2. Chocolate chips in microwave, peanut butter and margarine or butter in microwave bowl measure on high for 1 minute, then stir.

  3. Microwave for 30 seconds or until mixture can be stirred smooth. Stir in vanilla.

  4. Pour chocolate mixture over the Chex cereal in the bucket, mix until all are covered with Chex.

  5. Add powdered sugar to Chex mix, put the lid on the bucket of ice and shake.

  6. Check mixture to ensure that all pieces are well coated and are ready to eat. Be careful, mixture will be hot and messy at this stage,

If desired, spread Chex mix on wax paper to cool. This makes about 9 cups Chow
